Velvet bucks going into July |
Did some walking after work ... At first , the only thing that caught my eye was a Kill Deer ..
Later in the evening I spotted a group of bucks ... I set up along a fence line to get a few pictures as they came into the field .
This little fork horn and a young doe came in close ... the wind was right for me but they thought something was up and they did the stomp and snort .. The fork horn looked like he caught some barbed wire in the rear legs at a fence jump recently ..
A nice 6 point and a beauty 8 point ... should be great bucks by October ! ( had to switch to 1600 ISO because of the low light )
Near last light .. this mangle racked mature buck came over the hill ..
( had to switch to 3200 ISO because of the fading light )
Looking forward to late July / August Velvet bucks ...
