Some Local Whitetails taken with Excalibur Crossbows |
Lot's of Excalibur owners at my work place ...
Here are some pic's of some local whitetails taken with Excalibur crossbows and some stat's for sumner4991's survey ...Man we hunted some nice weather days and some wicked torrential rain days , had a lot of fun , and took some tastey whitetails !Chris K. takes his 1st buck ever with an Excalibur Paradox . Approx 6 yard shot , hit slightly high ( understandably for 6 yards and of course complete pass thru ! ) Chris was out , on the ground with his 11 year old son Kurtis , covering a bean field . Kurtis heard the buck first and told his dad so ... Chris looks up to see this buck walking right in to approx 6 yards. When a shot opportunity came he launches a carbon bolt with a 130 grain WASP broadhead .The buck ran approx 80 yards and jumps the fence towards Chris's truck before he expired ! ( gotta love it when they run towards the truck ! )The arrow and broadhead ... Last blood sign at the fence jump site ... The walk up ... A happy father and son team ! ( it doesn't get any better than that ! ) Excalibur Paradox Carbon arrow with 130 Grain WASP broadhead 6 yard shot , double lung , approx 80 yard recovery distance .Court P. aka " Petersen " scores his 1st archery / crossbow deer . A nice 6 point . ( sorry ,weather was not agreeable for field pictures ) The buck came in during a morning hunt ... circled at 50 yards , after 2 short grunts the buck walked right in to 8 yards.Excalibur Exomag custom with a Mark Henegar stock ( Wayne Jones old bow ) 150 grain Excal boltcutter broadhead on a carbon firebolt . 8 yard shot , double lung , approx 100 yard recovery distance .I arrowed a nice 7 point in the heavy rain Saturday ( sorry ,weather was not agreeable for field pictures )Excalibur Y25 Relayer Easton Aluminum XX75 with 130 Grain WASP broadhead 24 yard shot ( ranged ) , single lung , approx 100 yard recovery distance . I didn't get a complete pass thru on this one ... he was quartering away and RH shoulder stopped the pass thru .I did get one picture of the rack with my gear drying in the house .. Brawler grunt tube , Primo's bleat can , and the short piece of the arrow on the seat it the part that broke off when he ran ... Rob H. aka " Helmut " scores his 1st archery / crossbow deer . Approx 20 feet up in a climber stand . Excalibur Equinox Easton Aluminum XX75 with 150 grain Excal boltcutter broadhead . 30 yard shot , double lung , approx 50 yard recovery distance . Hows that for shot placement on your 1st crossbow deer ! Again ... not too many field pictures this time out , due to the torrential downpour rains , but we had a blast chasing whitetails over the last week .. Heck , it don't take long to dry out gear , and you can't get deer , sitting at home ! _________________ See Ya. ...
