Got a last minuet invite , to hunt with the Petersen clan , and friends ...
I packed up my gear in a hurry , and was bummed out to find my camera batteries so low , they were on thier last breath when I hiked in the field with the crew this morning ...
But I did get a few pictures to photo document our last goose hunt of 2009 / 2010 late season ... we ended the morning early and hiked out 44 long necks ..
Watching ducks slink into the flooded grass field as the sun started it's morning climb .
A quick frame of a farm in the distance as the sun rose higher ..
Court P. , scans the horizon as we wait for the longnecks to arrive ...

About 1/2 hr after the sun was over the tree's .... the Canada's started to filter in ...
My camera batteries were pooched , so I kept it turned off to save what little juice was left , and after several failed attempts , I finally managed to capture one impact moment ... ( one goose dropping and another with a right wing hit , in the same frame )8) !
No dogs along today , so Court P. filled in for retrieval duties !

We all had some great shooting opportunities today ... I was lucky enough to drop the last bird of the morning ... With a long gear and goose hike out ahead of us , we decided to pull up short , and the group passed several birds that were trying to set in while we packed sleds and carry bags during the gear round up ...
My camera was dead after that last frame of Court wading after birds , so I stowed it in my side bag to recharge slightly , in time for a group picture back at the trucks ...
From left to right .... Jamie J. , Paul P. , Court P. , Dwayne R. , Mark P. , Ken S.
PS : None of the Toyota's that drove us there , had any sticking gas pedal issues today !
