Awesome Pictures Today.......or NOT |
The sun was out bright at 4:30 pm so I called my neighbor to go for a shed hunt at a place we have been successfull at in the past ...
On the way up the thunder started and the rain rolled in , but before I got too wet I got approx 20 frames of a flock of about 100 swans that settled in for a rest at a stubble field ... got nice and close and captured some beauty shots of the swans in all kinds of positions = wings flared , resting , necks craned at alert etc .... beauty beauty shots ... the rain started pounding down and I ran back to the truck with the camera shielded under my vest ...
We got to the farm and started our shed search ... we came upon approx 8 deer feeding on a ridge ... we stalked closer , the wind was in our favor ... I had a walking stick , so I took a steady rest and snapped some frames as the fed .... I snorted at them and snapped more frames as the jumped away with whitetails flashing into the rising fog of the last bit of melting snow !
It was an awesome sight to see them arcing high into the air as they bound away into the rising fog ... we stood there awe struck at the beauty of the scene that just unfolded in front of us .... I snapped apporx 20 frames total of the deer in the fog ... it looked real cool !
I said to Herb " wait till you see these frames on the computer ... the fog shots are incredible and at one point I had 3 deer in mid air at the top arc of their jump with a tree full of crows in the background !! " these shots will be wicked !
I turn to look at them in the viewfinder playback screen and this is what I see !   ( this picture taken with my pocket Olympus Stylus 600 )
Mental note ! .... keep a spare memory card in the camera bag and remember to pull the other one from the card reader at home before I go out !!
