Another busy day ... Sunday's field report |
Pydpiper and Wylie Harvey stopped by and we finished off the wheel chair accessable stand at the back of my property ...
The stand runs out from the ridge and gives Wylie a 20 yard shot to the deer trail below ...
Later in the afternoon I headed North for an evening stand ... It was sunny when I went in to my stand so I dressed lightly ... Got busted by a doe when I was trying to get turned for a shot on another doe at 5 yards ..  
Around 5:30pm a storm blew in and I got soaked in the brutal downpour ... moved to a ground location in the golden rod ... had many deer come in ... I took these two frames and got ready ...
Had this buck come in to 20 yards , but got busted by a small basket rack 8 point that came thru the corn to my left , he was staring right at me .... I couldn't hold my Y25 Relayer steady anymore , he saw me make a minor move when I tried to level off for a shot on the other buck and it was all over ! ...  ... One minuet I'm surrounded by deer then they are all gone !
Will be back at it tomorrow ...
